Aries Astro Care Guide
Aries
Health & Healing for Aries season and placements
For the beginning of the astrological year, we are gifted with a fiery spark of Aries energy. Fueled with drive and passion, we are inspired to go after our inner most desires and act on our primal urges. The childlike essence of Aries fills us with a playful enthusiasm for our creative pursuits, pushing us forward with bold confidence. Sometimes, this blind confidence can lead us to impatiently jump into projects or situations head first, using adrenaline to push through with brute force. This headstrong and warrior like energy can make us feel equipped to handle any crisis that comes our way, which can be beneficial as long as we remember that being busy, rushed or stressed does not equal success. Harnessing that warrior energy when it is necessary but resting, recharging and refueling when it is not keeps that fiery energy balanced, preventing burn-out and fatigue. Leaving that powerful passion for us to use on the things that truly matter.

The Brain
The essence of Aries is characterized by fast action and initiation, which is much like the lightening quick firing of synapses in the brain. The brain is constantly receiving input from the senses and the environment. In a split second it reacts to the incoming information, decides on a course of action and communicates its commands to the rest of the body. This speaks directly to the highly perceptive nature of Aries which make them powerful leaders and great in a crisis. However, outside of crises or leadership roles, this trait can manifest as reactive behavior, potentially expressing itself through anger, aggression, or anxiety.
When the brain has unchecked reactions to outside stressors, it can lash out in harmful ways in an attempt at self-preservation. When Aries is unable to feel safe they can hurt their relationships by trying to dominate others, by being unable to compromise or by acting in selfish ways. With the 1st house of self as the home of Aries, it is a life long mission to transform self-centeredness to self-mastery.
Aries Posture
Legs Up the Wall
With the adrenal glands under the domain of Aries, those with strong placements in this area have a tendency towards over-exertion. Thriving off fear or stress-based energy to keep them pushing through even when their body is telling them they shouldn’t. The pressure of that stress can lead to extreme burn-out. Learning to channel that powerful fiery energy when it’s needed and rest when it’s not is essential for long term Aries health.
Restorative poses like legs up the wall can bring a much needed sense of safety and relaxation. This pose triggers a slower heart rate, slower brain waves and reduces nervous input to the adrenal glands by relaxing the blood pressure sensors in the neck and chest.

Aries Ritual
At - home ritual to reconnect to the Aries energy within you
With Aries being ruler of the head, indulging in a scalp treatment at a hair spa, a professional facial or a cranial sacral treatment can be great ways to tune in with your Aries placements. Though, here is a reset ritual you can try at home:
Clear your sinuses
do this by using a netty pot, a facial steam over the stove or even just blowing your nose. breathing fully without any blockages can help bring inner clarity & calm the mind
Contrast shower
alternating between hot & cold water. fire signs can feel nourished by the heat, while cold can reset the sometimes overstimulated Aries nervous system.
Scalp massage
while in the shower, focus on giving yourself a deep scalp massage when shampooing your hair. Maybe try a conditioning hair mask as well. As ruler of the head, giving extra attention to this area is especially beneficial.
Facial skin care routine
after the shower, if you are feeling a rare stint of patience, go for a full multi-step facial skin care routine. If not, just stick to the necessities but don’t skip the facial massage!
Facial massage
for the facial massage you want to make sure you focus on the sinus points which are all along the sides of your nose, between your brows and along your cheek bones. pressing firmly but gently to release any pressure.
Jaw massage
another area to tend to in a facial massage is the jaw muscle. this is where we hold quite a bit of tension. especially, for Aries who struggles with aggression, stress and anger. take three fingers and firmly pull them from the top of your base of your cheekbone to the bottom of your jawline as many times as needed.
Remind yourself that you are safe
to complete this ritual, end with an adrenal massage. the adrenal glands pump adrenaline into our system. sometimes, when we are in a constant state of stress, these glands are working in overdrive. massaging these glands with a nurturing touch can help relieve some of their pressure. while doing so, remind yourself that you are safe, be kind and let your body release it’s fight or flight state.
Adrenal Massage
start by placing two fingers at the belly button, move out 2cm and up 2cm. now press in until you feel some resistance and begin to move your fingers in gentle circles. repeat this on the back in the same area, in line with the navel, out 2cm and up 2cm.
